The Her Smile movement is owned by the mother-daughter duo, Adele and Kirsten. Adele has been in the body and physical movement industry since the tender age of four; while Kirsten began her experience when she could walk, growing up in her mother’s dance studio. Together they have combined experience exceeding 78 years in physical movement and body shape, teaching and mentoring, makeup application, skincare, beauty and grooming, and costume design and styling.

Adele Haussmann - CEO
Adele Haussmann has been in the body movement and image industry since the tender age of four. She was a childhood model in the 1960s, has performed in Professional Musical Theatre, danced for The Rhodesian National Ballet, won Student of the Year in the Beauty Specialist Diploma, won Silver medals in the international Body Sculpting World Championships in Dubai, and ran her own ballet school for 23 years. Adele has travelled the world as a Makeup Artist working backstage at prestigious events such as The Formula 1 Grand Prix Amber Lounge.
Performing personally on and backstage around the world has given her the edge when it comes to Personal Training, Weight Management, Injury Prevention, Body Conditioning and Strengthening, Beauty, Skincare, Makeup, Hair and Styling.
Adele has worked with clients of all genders, ranging from 18 months to 80 years. She is a wife, mother and grandmother and believes that we are what we eat, think, do and wear.

Kirsten Smith - Creative Director
Kirsten was born into her mother, Adele’s, ballet school and grew up there from the age of two weeks. This is where her passion for theatre and performance created its roots and she methodically passed all her Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Singing and Piano examinations gaining Honours and Distinctions and many awards along the way. She participated in Eisteddfods in Australia, South Africa and the USA gaining much experience in the art of performance.
In her late teens, Kirsten left the family home and moved to Sydney to pursue her passion for acting and the screen, She was fortunate to land featured roles in the children’s TV show Magical Tales and many lead roles in the American and Australian TV shows Deadly Woman, Behind Mansion Walls, Crimes Lies and Alibies and Dark Minds. Kirsten has performed in local Musical Theatre productions of Charlotte’s Web, Jesus Christ Superstar, A Chorus Line, Hair and most recently, a lead role in Godspell.
Kirsten is also a professional make-up artist and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Creative Writing, Script Writing and Journalism. She has taught Dance and Musical Theatre in Canberra for 7 years and is now the Marketing Manager and Creative Director of Her Smile.
