Vinnies CEO Sleepout 2025

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout was an experience I will never forget. It was the coldest night in Canberra in 39 years! It went down to minus 7.2!

One night sleeping outside in Canberra, and the reality hit hard.

The cold goes right through you. The concrete is unforgiving. The noise doesn’t stop.
You don’t really sleep… you just wait for morning.

And that was just one night. For too many people, this is every night.

The reality is heartbreaking especially knowing that children are included in the homeless demographic.

This experience has only strengthened my resolve to stand up, speak out, and do more.

I’m so proud to be part of the Women Building Change team for the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. Together, we raised $280 000.00 of vital funds to support the people and families doing it tough across Canberra.

This is what it’s about: showing up, doing what you can, and making sure those who have no one else don’t have to walk this road alone.

To everyone who donated, shared words of encouragement, or came along for the journey, thank you. It means more than you’ll ever know.
