Her Smile Proudly Sponsors the 2026 ACT Women's Awards, For the Fourth Year Running

For the fourth consecutive year, Her Smile was proud to be named a Community Contributor sponsor of the ACT Women's Awards, standing alongside fellow sponsors Women With Altitude, HerCanberra, and She Shapes History.

The awards, presented by the ACT Government, celebrate women, gender diverse and non-binary people across the region who are creating lasting positive change, spanning industry, advocacy, healthcare, and community leadership.

This year's ceremony, held on 3 September 2026, recognised four remarkable winners. Ashlee Berry, ACT & Capital Region Executive Director of the Property Council of Australia, received the Excellence in Industry Award for her leadership in advancing gender equity and visibility within the property sector.

Robyn Smith was awarded the Gender Equity and Social Change Award for her advocacy and research supporting people living with inherited cancer risk, ensuring they can make informed health decisions and feel genuinely heard.

Dr Sujatha Shanmugasundaram received the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of more than 35 years in nursing education, dementia care, and aged care practice, alongside her advocacy for Indian communities across Australia.

Katherine Berney was presented with the Minister's Impact Award for her work as Director of Prevention of Gendered Violence at the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education, driving policy and systems reform to improve safety for women, children and non-binary people nationally.

Alongside the four award winners, fourteen women were formally inducted into the ACT Women's Honour Roll, a digital record celebrating significant and lasting contributions made by women and gender diverse people in Canberra, across Australia, and internationally.
